Before online marketing strategies for discount movers became popular, discount movers relied upon a vast array of traditional marketing strategies to capture and to retain customers for their moving products and their moving services. Although each company relied upon a different combination of marketing strategies, the marketing research has suggested that the most successful of these discount movers relied upon a handful of the same marketing strategies.
For example, one of the most common of these traditional marketing strategies that these discount movers used to capture and to retain customers for their moving products and their moving services consisted of placing print ads in magazines, newspapers, professional journals, and other print publications which circulated all across the United States of America. The less successful discount movers generally placed their print ads in any print publication which would accept them. However, the most successful discount movers generally targeted these print ads much more carefully and only tried to place them in those print publications which targeted homeowners and successful business people (the kinds of people who would be more likely to want to move their families to new homes located all the way on the other side of the country).
Another one of the most popular of these traditional marketing strategies that these discount movers used to capture and to retain customers for their moving products and their moving services consisted of installing large billboards along the sides of major interstate highways and in the middle of busy city intersections. Again, as with the print publications, the weaker of these discount movers did not think about where they should place their billboards. Instead, they placed their billboards wherever they could afford to rent the space. Conversely, the most successful of these discount movers generally placed these billboards close to the business districts in these major cities because they knew that the business people who worked there would be likely to want to move their belongings and their families to new homes in new states.
Still another one of the most successful of these traditional marketing strategies which was used by these discount movers consisted of giving away moving coupons, packrat coupons, movers coupons, and other promocodes to movers who have decided to move but have not yet decided upon which moving company to hire. Again, the weaker discount movers did not think about where they should give away these coupons. However, the more successful discount movers only gave their coupons to radio programs and raffles (the kind of shows and events which are popular among the kinds of people who are inclined to look for discounts).

I never thought about moving until I saw a billboard along the side of the highway which had a picture of a beach on it. Now I live next to a beach.
It is funny how that happens. I never thought about living in Alaska until I saw a similar billboard which made it look like the best time in the whole world.
